Rest and relaxation?

Thursday was easy but a bit painful. I was ordered to rest, and be waited on. That was easy. The leg hurt a bit. Then came the trip to Minneapolis. The yearly EF meeting which we usually look forward to. It's fun and informative and somehwere different each year. This year in Minneapolis. The Mall of America was all we knew. The trip went well, My leg hurt of course. Cindy had to handle the suitcase which was wierd. But we ended up walking a great deal in the airport and on our way to the Hotel. We got in and met with Cathy, our regional manager and had some dinner. Friday we spent the morning making signs and airplanes for our skit that never happened. I wrote a goofy poem and it was fun. Then Cindy and I ventured out exploring and shopping. We loved the downtown and then found our way to the MALL. A great light rail ride to the Mall and we found an enormous facility, four levels with a huge amusement park in the middle. It is gigantic, but still just a Mall. The evening event was fun, we were nominated for IEC's of the year agaain which made us proud. The staff did a great job entertaining. Saturday was workshops and we skipped the evening dinner and just went out shopping again. We went to a beutiful floral art show and then Momma found her Mother of the Bride dress. And not only was it the perfect dress, but the perfect price. 75 percent off!!!! Can't be much better than that. Sunday we finished the workshops and took the train instead of the shuttles and stopped at the mall one more time for a meal and then to the airport. Carrie and Bill picked us up and finally we were home. It was a great weekend!

Now it was my turn.

Wednesday was a memorable day. A nervous day, A day filled with scenarios going thru my head. Oh how I hate hospitals. it didn't start very good either. Went up to the desk and they never heard of me and didn't know where to send me. Cindy went up to the doctors office and found out the right place to go. One floor down, okay so it wasn't that bad. Then a bunch of nice people began to relax me and take care of me and after a long long day, lots of nervous moments, but feeling pretty good, the doctor sits and tells us that he didn't find anything. Am I happy, yes. Am I frustrated, yes. In fact, they oculdn't even take the tube out of my leg for an extra hour waiting for my blood pressure to go down from medicine they gave me to bring it down. Oh well, Im happy there wasn't anything. Now what? I made them all laugh by saying how frustrating it was to spend all this money to find out Im fat. I allready knew that. But pressures as high as mine are not normal. So we will see what's next. YES I will start and try very hard to change my eating habbits. Wonder and frustration, a strange mix.

Anouncing Aaron Robert

Well, Tuesday was a great day afterall. We drove to Indy, picking up Laura on the way. Laura and Rachel met us to make it easier. Then the call came. Aaron was born, somewhere around Batesville, so we decided to stop and get a bite to eat. Then we finally got to the hospital and into the room. There was Amy smiling from ear to ear and holding little Aaron. I had forgotten what a marvelous moment and grand feeling it was since the last new Marcou came along. Then soon it was my turn to hold him. Of course, he gripped my hand and relaxed into a peaceful bonding with Grandpa. Soon it was feeding and bath time. Out we went, spent some happy time with Anna and Andrew, who by then were showing signs of the incredibly long day they had. Grandpa and Grandma Kissner took them home for some well needed rest, after a stop at McDonald's for some supper. I wonder who fell asleep first? We spent some time in the room for all of us to hold him and for Grandma to make her checkout and give that final stamp of approval. Lots of pictures were taken and then we left the happy parents to enjoy the eveing with their new blessing. What a wonderful world! We are so blessed! Welcome Aaaron!
